Romans 3:27–31 The Righteousness of God Through Faith

Prayer Root Ministries -> Praying through Scripture -> Romans -> Romans 3

Scripture (ESV)

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Prayer Root: Word to Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Faith removes pride, levels differences, and unites all believers under You. The gospel is inclusive and when we live by faith, we honor the true intent of Your law: to love, obey, and trust You completely.

Thank You for Your magnanimous gesture in showering Your grace freely upon us. In a world of uneven resources, divided opportunities, and constant competition, Your unearned grace is beyond comprehension. I come before You with my own inequities and ignorance, praying that I never reduce the weight of Your sacrifice—going to the cross, dying for my sins, and rising again to bring me to the Father. Let my heart overflow with gratitude that I can stand before You justified by faith alone. You are the universal God who lavishes mercy and grace on all who believe. May my life, filled with faith and humility, uphold Your truth and glorify Your holy name.

Rooted in prayer, rejoicing in Christ.
