What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:
“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the assurance that we are justified by faith, for on my own I could never stand righteous before You through any work or effort. Just as You counted Abraham righteous because of his faith, and as David rejoiced in Your blessing upon sinners forgiven by grace, You have chosen me long before I could do anything to earn justification.
I pray, Lord, that I may build an unwavering faith in You—that every work I do flows as a reflection of that faith, not as something earned, but as an offering of love and obedience that glorifies You on earth.
God, just as You told the woman who suffered from bleeding for twelve years that her faith had made her well, I pray that the wounds, pain, and effects of sin accumulated over the years may be healed through faith in You.
Let my faith kindle a spark in others to look toward You. Let my courage motivate others to follow You. Let my belief carry me through the valley of the shadow of death without fear. Let my gratitude teach me to love others as You love me. And let my reverence for You guard my heart from sin, keeping me steadfast in Your truth and grace.
