Scripture (ESV)
It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest him by stealth and kill him, for they said, ‘Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar from the people.’
Prayer Root: Word to Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Your timing cannot be more perfect than this. The first Passover marked the Father’s deliverance, and now, in Your divine plan, the deliverance of humanity from sin unfolds at Passover once again. The Lamb of God prepares Himself to become the sacrifice for us sinners.
Lord, I pray that my heart never builds an ego that suppresses Your Spirit within me, as those leaders sought to suppress You in order to keep life unchanged and comfortable. Guard me from misunderstanding Your will or misdirecting my actions. Keep my heart tender, obedient, and discerning.
May I always remember that Your blood became our shelter and armor against sin. Your death on the cross became our mercy, and Your resurrection became our salvation. Anchor me and shape how I live each day, fully surrendered to You.
Rooted in prayer, rejoicing in Christ.
