And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head. There were some who said to themselves indignantly, ‘Why was the ointment wasted like that? For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.’ And they scolded her. But Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me… She has done what she could… Truly, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.’

Heavenly Father,
You are a mighty God who could bring heaven and earth down, a powerful King who could have arrived with grandeur and crushed earthly powers—yet You came humbly as a man and suffered for us. Such a God does not need perfume. It was never about the fragrance or its cost, but about the love with which the woman came. That love is what mattered to You.
Lord, give me a heart like hers—Unconcerned with wealth, unmoved by the judgment of others, and unafraid of timing—fully focused on You alone. May my love for You be sincere and undivided, so that nothing matters more than loving You.
Grant me an obedience that brings all that I am and all that I have to glorify You. Cleanse my heart, order my thoughts, and align my life according to Your will. May my life always be an offering that celebrates You.
