Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? For we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. How then was it counted to him? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised. He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well, and to make him the father of the circumcised who are not merely circumcised but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.

Heavenly Father,
The way to You is not through belonging to any nation or through any outward mark made by human hands, but through the living faith that takes You fully at Your Word. It is not by merit, heritage, or human achievement that I can stand before You, but solely by Your grace. Lord, teach me to rest in that truth—to cease striving to earn what You have already given freely through Jesus Christ.
Grant me, O Lord, a heart that does not wrestle to win Your approval but finds peace in knowing that Your love has already been poured out for me. Give me wisdom to understand that salvation is not a reward for my efforts but a response to Your promise. Help me to live in perfect trust, accepting Your love with humility and gratitude. Dear Father, You offered me Your gracious love when I was undeserving—when I could bring nothing but my need. Let that remembrance shape my every thought, word, and action. May I walk daily in the footsteps of faith, as Abraham did, trusting not in signs, rituals, or my own strength, but in Your everlasting mercy and faithfulness.
