And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.” And he strictly charged them to tell no one about him.

Heavenly Father,
“Who do you say that I am?”—this is such a deeply personal question. You asked it deliberately, Lord, to move the disciples from general observation to personal conviction. It is the same question I must ask myself, because my answer shapes my faith, my obedience, and my life.
Who are You to me? You are my Wonderful Counselor, my Mighty God, my Everlasting Father, and my Prince of Peace. You are my Savior, my Friend, and my King. At different seasons, You reveal Yourself in different ways, meeting me exactly where I am and giving me what I need.
I pray, Lord, that I always approach this question with reverence. You are the God who took on human form for me, who died and rose again to break the power of sin. You chose me before time began. You know me by name. You have plans to prosper me and not to harm me. You are the light of my life. You forgave my sins, showed me mercy, and continually pour grace over me—even when I do not deserve it.
You took someone like me, who had nothing to offer, and made me a child of the Most High. You are the One I run to when burdens are heavy and peace feels far away.
I pray, Lord, that I would honor You with my life, love You deeply for all that You are to me, and confess with conviction—every day—that You are the Christ.
