Scripture (ESV)
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments
and how inscrutable his ways!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be glory forever. Amen.
Prayer Root: Word to Prayer
Heavenly Father,
How beautiful, how profound, and how humbling are the words and questions spoken through the apostle Paul. They quiet my striving and draw my heart into wonder, reminding me that You are beyond measure, beyond comprehension, and beyond comparison.
Lord, I pray that You would keep my heart anchored in the richness of Your mercy. Forgive me for the sins I have made, the ones I still wrestle with, and even those I have yet to recognize—committed in the darkness and brokenness of this world and its many temptations. Thank You for sending Your Son, who paid the price in full for my redemption. You offered salvation freely through faith in Jesus Christ.
How rich is Your grace. How endless is Your love. You shower me with kindness and gentleness. You reach for me when I am drowning, hold me close when I am falling, steady me when I stumble, and grant me peace when I am struggling. I do not deserve it—yet You keep giving, again and again, without measure or condition.
Father, grant me a humility that rests in truth: that Your judgments are unsearchable, Your ways inscrutable, Your mind incomprehensible, and Your gift incomparable. Teach me that I do not need to understand everything—only to trust You fully. Let my heart remain certain that Your faithfulness is unquestionable, and may my trust in You remain unwavering and undoubted. For from You, and through You, and to You are all of me—my heart, my mind, my soul, and my life. To You alone be glory forever.
Rooted in prayer, rejoicing in Christ.
