So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

Heavenly Father,
The most profound truth my heart holds onto is this: heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will never pass away. Everything I see is temporary, but what You have spoken is eternal and unshakable.
Lord, I may or may not see, understand, or even recognize the fullness of Jesus’ second coming. It may unfold as gently as the fig tree changing its season, or as suddenly and unexpectedly as the shaking of the earth. Yet Your promise fills me with reverent anticipation and holy hope for a glorious future—and a deep responsibility to live faithfully today.
I pray that this hope does not make me passive, but purposeful. Remind me that while I wait, I am called to serve, to love, and to proclaim Your glory to the ends of the earth.
Work through my hands, Lord, so that my writings inspire hearts to turn toward You. Work through my words, so that those who hear may come to believe in You. Work through my life, so that those who see me may see not me, but Your glory reflected through me.
Anchor me in Your eternal Word as I live in a passing world. Let my life bear witness to the truth that You are faithful, Your promises endure, and Your kingdom is surely coming.
