And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. And Jesus sternly charged him and sent him away at once, and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.

Heavenly Father,
How wonderful it is that a leper came to You—unclean, rejected, and hopeless—and yet You were so reachable. How beautiful Your humility, Lord, that You allowed the broken and outcast to approach You freely. And how moving it is that the leper knelt down before You and said with such obedience and reverence, “If You will, You can make me clean.” His words remind me that true faith does not demand but submits, trusting fully in Your will.
It is powerful to see that his plea moved You to compassion. You reached out, touched him, and said, “I will; be clean.” With just a word, You restored his life, his dignity, and his hope. Jesus, I long for such a heart—one that reaches out to You not only in times of pain or need but every day, in faith, surrender, and love. Let me kneel before You daily, praying for Your will to be done, not mine.
Though the leper was told to remain silent, he could not contain his joy—and how could he? For who can stay quiet after being transformed by Your mercy? Your glory, Lord, is uncontainable. Your healing love cannot be hidden.
I pray to You, Lord, give me a voice like his—a voice that cries out above every distraction, every deception, and every noise of this world. Let me proclaim Your truth, exalt Your Word, and magnify Your love. May my life itself become a testimony that declares, “Jesus heals, Jesus saves, and Jesus lives.”
