And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.
Prayer Root: Word to Prayer
Heavenly Father,
You believed in prayer. At every turning point and before every milestone, You withdrew to a quiet place and knelt before the Father. You showed us that true strength is born in communion with God. I pray to You, Lord, that You give me that same heart of prayer—that before every decision, in every moment, and throughout each day, I may bow before You in humble dependence.
Lord, the way You trusted in prayer teaches me that prayer is not just a habit, but a lifeline—a sacred connection between heaven and earth. Please help my heart to remain anchored in prayer at all times, in joy and in trial alike. Be with me, Lord, in seasons of abundance, and be near when tears fall and my voice trembles in need. When I lift my hands toward You, hear my cry and strengthen me in the path I take and in the decisions I make.
You came to this world with a clear purpose—to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God, and You said, “That is why I have come.” In only three years of ministry, You accomplished eternal redemption. Lord, give me that same sense of purpose, discipline, and courage—to speak boldly yet gently about You, to reflect Your love in my words and deeds, and to further Your mission on this earth.
