Romans 15:30–33 Paul’s Plan to Visit Rome

Prayer Root Ministries -> Praying through Scripture -> Romans -> Romans 15

Scripture (ESV)

I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Prayer Root: Word to Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I see the humility and dependence of the apostle Paul—how he did not walk alone, but invited others to strive together with him in prayer. I pray, Lord, that You teach me this same posture of humility, to value prayerful partnership and to rely fully on the love and power of the Holy Spirit rather than my own strength.

I pray, Lord, that You surround me with believers who will labor with me in prayer, and make me faithful to labor in prayer for others. Deliver me from anything that opposes Your will in my life, whether seen or unseen, and let every work of service You assign to me be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight.

If it is Your will, Father, lead my steps with peace and joy. Let every place You send me be marked by refreshment, unity, and the presence of Your Spirit. May my journey—spiritual and physical—be guided by You, sustained by prayer, and completed in obedience.

May the God of peace be with me, with Your people, and with all who call on Your name.

Rooted in prayer, rejoicing in Christ.
