As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Heavenly Father,
Not every believer understands every spiritual matter in the same way. Just like the eating habits in those days, cultures are different, opinions vary, and approaches are not the same—and these differences often become reasons for separation.
I pray, Lord, that You give me the wisdom to see from another person’s point of view. Teach me to agree amicably to disagree when things are not aligned, to be respectful of others’ choices and methods, even when I do not understand them or approve of them.
I pray, Lord, that You give me the discipline to remember that we are all Your servants. I have no right or authority to question or judge another, for You alone are the Master of us all, and only You hold that authority.
Though there may be differences in approach, let what remains firm be our core belief in You—the one true God. Ground me in the salvation that is found through Jesus Christ and in the guidance of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus has placed within me. Keep my heart humble, my spirit gentle, and my love sincere, so that in all things I may honor You.
