When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore. And when they got out of the boat, the people immediately recognized him and ran about the whole region and began to bring the sick people on their beds to wherever they heard he was. And wherever he came, in villages, cities, or countryside, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.
Prayer Root: Word to Prayer
Heavenly Father,
How wonderful it is to read, “they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.” It was not the garment that healed them, but their faith. It was not the fringe that restored them, but Your mercy released through Jesus Christ and received by faith.
I pray to You, Lord, that You heal me—physically, psychologically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Let my heart run to You when it hurts. Let my mind run to You when it is confused. Let my legs run to You when they feel lost. Let my body run to You when it is tired. Let my soul run to You every moment, without hesitation or doubt.
May my faith reach out to Jesus, and may Your mercy and grace flow into every broken place within me and make me whole.
