And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” And he called them to him and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house.
“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Heavenly Father,
When the Pharisees accused You of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebul, You revealed deep truths that guide every believer’s walk with You.
You showed that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand — teaching us to remain united as one body, one faith, under one true God. You spoke of empowerment — that the Spirit of God gives boldness to drive out darkness and proclaim Your Kingdom. And You reminded us of conviction — that to overcome the strong man, we must first be strengthened and aligned with You.
You also warned with holy seriousness that to attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to evil is to harden the heart against truth itself. Lord, guard my heart from ever resisting, grieving, or dishonoring the work of Your Spirit. Keep me humble, discerning, and reverent before You.
Lord, I pray that You unite me with Your people in faith and purpose. Empower me through Your Holy Spirit to speak boldly of Your truth and Your Kingdom. Strengthen me to overcome every opposition that rises against Your name. And Father, grant me a heart like Yours — compassionate to forgive, steadfast to guard the Spirit You’ve placed within me, and sincere in obedience to Your will.
Let me never stand against You, Lord, but always beside You — proclaiming, living, and loving as a true follower of Christ.
