And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Heavenly Father,
The kingdom of God belongs not to the powerful or the self-righteous, but to those who recognize their complete dependence on You.
I pray, Lord, that like a child—helpless and reliant on others for survival—I may abandon all self-sufficiency Come before You with open hands and a trusting heart, recognizing I cannot earn salvation. It is only Your grace that sustains and saves me.
I pray, Lord, that You would guide my actions to reflect the nature of a child—one without worldly prestige, who walks in simplicity and treats others with innocence and sincerity of heart.
Bless my heart, Lord, with the natural openness of a child—able to receive life without cynicism or suspicion. Teach me to both accept and give with a simple, trusting, and unwavering faith. Grant me the wisdom to understand that the kingdom of God is a gift—one I can receive only when I turn away from adult pride and fully embrace spiritual vulnerability before You.
