Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Heavenly Father,
It is an amazing and humbling truth that the apostle Paul quotes from scripture—that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. You remind me that salvation is not earned, negotiated, or deserved, but freely given through Your Son. Yet so often, like the people Paul speaks of, even as a follower of Christ I fall into the subtle trap of thinking Your favor must be won, measured, or maintained by my effort.
Lord, forgive me for every moment I have treated my relationship with You like one between a creditor and a debtor, an earner and an assessor, a judge and a criminal awaiting a verdict. Teach my heart to rest in the finished work of Christ. Let me truly know that through Him I am no longer striving to gain Your approval—I am living from grace already poured out, love already given, mercy already secured.
Grant my heart the wisdom to give You the supreme place in my life. I surrender myself to follow Jesus Christ in reverent worship and faithful obedience. Let me believe deeply—not only that He died for me, but that He rose from the dead, victorious over sin and death. May this faith not remain silent within me. Let my lips confess what my heart believes, and let my life clearly testify whom I belong to.
Lord, You are the God who is for everyone, without distinction. Help me to celebrate this truth with gratitude and to proclaim it with courage, so that others may know that salvation is near, grace is available, and Your kingdom is advancing—on earth as it is in heaven.
