Scripture (ESV)
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.”
Prayer Root: Word to Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Even as the sun is darkened, the moon withholds its light, the stars fall from heaven, and the powers in the heavens are shaken, there remains one unshakable hope—the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
I pray, Lord, that my heart remains anchored in this hope. Teach me to live alert and on guard, not in fear, but in faithful expectation, so that I may stand before You with confidence and peace when You appear.
Lord, I do not know when or how Your coming will. I do not know whether I will witness it with my eyes or meet You in another way. Yet the promise of Your coming is enough to sustain me. It strengthens my faith, steadies my heart, and lifts my eyes beyond this present world.
Thank You, Lord, for the hope You have given—a hope that does not disappoint. Help me to live today in light of that promise, faithful, watchful, and full of trust in You.
Rooted in prayer, rejoicing in Christ.
